Abundant life promised in Jesus: 5 Bold Prayers for Abundant Life Now

Beloved here are five bold prayers that will help you take hold of the abundant life promised in Jesus:

1. A Prayer for a Life of Purpose

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Rom. 8:28

Have you ever asked yourself “What in the world am I here for?”
So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. – 2 Thess. 1:11 NLTMay He [God] give you what your heart desires and fulfill your whole purpose. – Psalm 20:4 (HCSB)

Lord, please guide me to the purpose and plans for which you created me. Help me to be receptive even when they’re not what I expected. Show me your ways, Lord. I want to live abundantly following the calling you have for my life. Amen.
2. A Prayer for an Abundant Life
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. – 3 John 1:2-4 NKJVTo those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. – Matt. 13:12 NLT

Regardless of material prosperity, there is no greater joy than living by the principles of a life devoted to Jesus. Many are rich in the Lord but poor in possessions, which have no eternal value.
The little that the righteous man has is better than the abundance of many wicked people. – Psalm 37:16 HCSB

Father, my heart’s desire is to know you better. My soul longs for a deeper understanding of how to live for you. Help me to be content with what you’ve given me and to live with a generous heart that gives to others out of my abundance. Amen.

3. A Prayer for a Peaceful Life
May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. – Phil. 1:2 NLT

He also penned:
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. – Phil 4:6 NLT Ah, how sweet we would sleep if we could just remember to do this.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27

Oh Lord, I admit that I’m often not living in peace. I let the outside world invade my private world and worry about things that only you have domain over. Help me learn to take my concerns to you in prayer and rest in the knowledge that you are in charge, not me. Amen.

4. A Prayer for Trusting God with Your Life

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. – Rom. 15:13 NLT

Father, you are holy and trustworthy yet often I put my trust in people and circumstances instead of your abundant sovereignty and love for me. Awaken my heart, mind, and spirit to be in tune with the Holy Spirit’s promptings. Amen

Trust in the Lord and do what is good; dwell in the land and live securely. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires. – Ps. 37:3-4 HCSB

5. A Prayer for Any of Life's Problems
Listen to my prayer for mercy as I cry out to you for help, as I lift my hands toward your holy sanctuary. – Ps. 28:2 NLT

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help. – Ps. 86:1 NLT
God wants us to remember that everything we have, he gave to us so we can trust him with how to manage and orchestrate all aspects of our lives.

May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the Lord answer all your prayers. – Ps. 20:5 NLT

Father, it’s not always easy for me to accept problems that come my way. I admit I would like my life to run smoothly and carefree but I know this world is not my home. I want to learn to turn to you first during troubling times, listen for your guidance, and feel your loving arms around me. To God be the glory! Amen. Enjoying the Abundant Life in Christ

As believers, we’re so fortunate to know a God who loves us abundantly and wants the best for us even when we stray and even when our priorities are not the ones he wants for us.
